Meet the founder of Freelance Feels
Hello, I’m Jenny, a writer, podcaster, coach and founder of Freelance Feels. I founded the site as a response to my own challenges as a freelancer in June 2019. I’d been having a really difficult time, and feeling depressed. Founding the community helped me make sense of what I wasn’t enjoying about freelancing, and I found many others felt the same.
I’ve worked with lots of major publishing houses as well as on national newspapers, women’s magazines and for websites and digital teams. You might have seen my byline in Grazia, Stylist, the Guardian, Telegraph or Metro, where I worked on the features team until April 2017, when I took redundancy.
That was my third time going into freelance life and I vowed it was for keeps. But it wasn’t easy. Work was scarce and I felt isolated. The answer was Freelance Feels!
I’m very open and honest about my feelings and my freelance life, and you’ll often find me on Instagram, sharing ideas or tips as well as my walks with my two puppies Florence and Roger.
I coach one on one, and run workshops and courses, as well as writing about freelance life and running the Freelance Feels podcast and newsletter.
If you are self-employed, you’re welcome here!
